How the Inuka program protects your data under Kenya’s Data Protection Act.
Lawful basis and consent
Program data is processed on the basis of your consent, given when you take the eligibility check or join the program. Consent is specific to program purposes and can be withdrawn.
Sensitive data
Information about disability, refugee or displacement status and financial circumstances is collected only with specific consent, used only to prioritise support fairly, and never exposed to employers or third parties.
Automated matching
Fuzu’s matching tools help suggest suitable roles and candidates. Significant decisions about program participation are not made by automated means alone, and you can ask for human review.
Research and reporting
Program outcomes are reported to the funder in aggregated, de-identified form. Where any research study would use identifiable data, you will be asked for separate, informed consent first.
Security and contacts
Program data is protected by Fuzu’s platform security controls. For questions, requests or complaints, contact the program’s data protection contact, or Kenya’s Office of the Data Protection Commissioner.
