Accessibility statement
Inuka is built to be usable by everyone — including people using assistive technology, older or low-powered phones, and slow connections. Here’s what we do, and how to reach us if something gets in your way.
Our commitment
We aim to meet the WCAG 2.1 AA standard across inuka.fuzu.com and to keep the program reachable for the young people it exists to serve — including persons with disabilities, one of Inuka’s priority groups.
Built-in accessibility controls
Every Inuka page has an accessibility toolbar in the bottom-right corner: increase the text size, switch to a high-contrast palette, or reduce motion. Your choices are saved on your device and apply as you move around the site.
Keyboard and screen readers
You can use the whole site with a keyboard — a clear focus outline shows where you are, and a “skip to main content” link lets you jump past the header. Pages are structured, readable HTML with descriptive text alternatives for images, so screen readers can announce them properly.
Motion
The site respects your device’s “reduce motion” setting, and the toolbar toggle does the same — animations stop and the page settles into a still, calm layout with nothing essential lost.
Low-data and low-end devices
Inuka is mobile-first and lightweight, so it works on a metered data bundle and on lower-powered phones. Nothing important is hidden inside a heavy graphic or a video you have to load.
Known limitations
We are still improving. If part of the site is hard to use with your device or assistive technology, that is a gap we want to fix — please tell us so we can.
Tell us about a barrier
If you run into an accessibility problem, use the Report a concern channel or contact the program team. Tell us which page you were on and what happened, and we will work to fix it.
